The Integrative Nurse Practitioner Role – Christine Palmer – Denham Springs, LA
Christine Palmer FNP works closely with her patients to identify their needs and develop an individualized treatment plan. Integrative medicine nurse practitioners work with patients to address their physical, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being. They also educate patients about how lifestyle choices affect their health.
An experience with Christine Palmer, Family Nurse Practitioner, begins with a full health consult. Diagnostic tests are run, including off site blood work labs, to get a full picture of the patient’s overall health and wellness, and what may be causing concerns. The follow-up consult gives each patient a full breakdown of their overall health picture and what is the best treatment and/or prevention plan to ensure their optimal health moving forward. There is no “one size fits all” approach. Christine Palmer FNP personalizes her care plans to meet the needs of each individual patient.

In addition to educating patients about their condition, integrative medicine nurse practitioners also educate patients about complementary therapies such as IV therapies, massage therapy, supplements, laser treatments, and nutrition and lifestyle changes. These therapies can complement conventional medical care, including necessary (and usually temporary) prescription plans which provide relief from symptoms and improve quality of life.
