RouteGenie Announces Full Integration with Medical Answering Services (MAS) for NEMT Providers to Ensure GPS Compliance

When New York introduced its new requirements through its broker RFP in 2021, the RouteGenie team worked directly with MAS to demonstrate how it could provide them with the data required under the new New York State Department of Health (DOH) rules. RouteGenie was amongst the first software providers to enhance its integration to comply with the new rules in December of 2021, providing a seamless and compliant experience for the New York NEMT providers and their passengers.
As of April 3, 2023, New York State DOH requires all Transportation Providers (TP) to be fully Global Positioning System (GPS) compliant. For a trip to be considered fully GPS-compliant, the Transportation Provider will submit the starting point, end point, and all GPS coordinates along the trip (“breadcrumb data”) to the Transportation Manager, MAS. RouteGenie is fully equipped to meet these requirements and has been capable of sending GPS data automatically to MAS since 2021, ensuring compliance and seamless trip import for our valued customers.
