If a crypto wallet is lost, stolen, or hacked, traders must have a backup tool with their recovery seed phrases stored so they can still access their assets. Inexperienced crypto traders might save the phrase in their phone or write it down on a piece of paper, but both of these methods can be easily comprised.
The imKey Secret Box provides several layers of crypto asset security and protection. Its A/B double-sided storage supports 12, 18, and 24-word recovery mnemonics. For customized encryption, the device can also hold 2 sets of 12-digit mnemonics if need be.
To set up the device, traders simply unlock the cover plate and enter their characters using the 252 double-sided laser-engraved tiles. Once the characters are set, the cover plate is fastened back up using the six bolts in its body. Because the body is comprised of two sets of buckles, it essentially eliminates any displacement or shifting of the characters. The device also supports additional locking mechanisms and comes with a tamper-proof seal.
The imKey Secret Box is made using 304 stainless steel. The steel is tempered to withstand temperatures of up to 3000 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s also waterproof and resistant to rust and corrosion.
