Innovative Winnipeg Assisted-Living Facility Launches New Website
WINNIPEG, MB: Bergen Gardens, a unique assisted living facility located at 1475 Molson Street in Winnipeg’s North Kildonan neighbourhood, is celebrating the launch of its new website. In addition to helping visitors find and navigate information about the facility more easily, the website has been thoughtfully designed to highlight the creativity, choice, and well-being that is the heartbeat of the Bergen Gardens vision.
The idea for Bergen Gardens was conceived by the late Martin Bergen, whose vision of reliable and affordable housing for Winnipeg seniors laid the foundation for Edison Properties, of which Bergen Gardens is one initiative. The project’s design and features represent eight years of research involving over one hundred seventy-eight researchers and multiple design partners. The Bergen Gardens mission is underpinned by the belief that when seniors are surrounded with dynamic opportunities to maintain connections with pets, nature, and people of all ages, they will continue to grow and evolve.
The Bergen Gardens facility is pet friendly and features a biophilic design with a fitness room, activity room, cinema, reading room, greenhouse and garden, culinary and wellness services, and a town square offering a wide range of other relevant services. Residents may live in one of one hundred forty-nine assisted living suites or one of forty-eight private memory care suites grouped within Cottages of twelve people each.
Lisa Martens, Executive Director of Bergen Gardens, takes immense pride in the project’s state-of-the-art building and innovative approach to elder care and assisted living. “Every element has been thoughtfully selected to promote physical, mental, and spiritual wellness,” she said. “We are very pleased that our new website also reflects these values and believe that it will draw more potential residents and help them see the benefits of an innovative elder care and assisted living facility like Bergen Gardens.”
