Durham, NC LGBTQ & BIPOC-Friendly Spa, Full Body Massage Therapy Expands
The team at the center says its recently-opened facility aims to “re-imagine the spa experience” within an approachable, accessible space dedicated to improving the lives of those in their local community. As part of its wellness ethos, this newly-launched spa offers customized treatments and experiences for clients to incorporate into their self-care routines. These include a variety of services categorized as either energy work, skin care and waxing, or massage and bodywork.
A bodywork treatment currently featured on the Auroraflow website is the “TMJ Tune-up,” a gentle massage of the temporomandibular joints intended to release pain from the jaw. The spa’s experienced massage therapists also offer reflexology treatments, sports massage, Thai massage, prenatal massage for pregnant women, and more.
As part of its skincare and waxing services, Auroraflow’s esthetician performs a wide range of treatments including a beard facial called “The Grizzly,” focused on smoothing and softening the hard-to-reach skin beneath the beard. In line with its promise to cater to the LGBTQ community, the spa also offers gender-affirming hair removal for the body and face.
For those interested in energy work, the spa’s Reiki practitioner also offers treatments that they believe help to balance the chakras and promote spiritual wellness.

Auroraflow was founded by LGBTQ couple Castle Frame and Lauren McCullough with a view to providing accessible wellness experiences for their community in Durham, NC, and surrounding areas.
