Provaris Energy inks green hydrogen partnership with Gen2 Energy

Provaris Energy Ltd (ASX:PV1) executive director Martin Carolan is back in the Proactive studio to discuss an ambitious partnership with Gen2 Energy to develop a European hydrogen supply chain.
Provaris and Gen2 will advance a pre-feasibility study that considers economical and technically sound options for compressed green hydrogen shipping, leveraging Provaris marine storage and shipping solutions.
Carolan says the joint initiative will hone in on the fjord project, which is ideally located for large-scale production and green hydrogen transportation.
"We are delighted to be working with Gen2 Energy to demonstrate the suitability of Provaris' unique solution to the production and transport of bulk-scale hydrogen from the fjord project, he told the ASX last week.
This collaboration will benefit from the synergies of Provaris and Gen2 Energy's approach to using compression as an energy-efficient carrier for green hydrogen.
It can also demonstrate Norway's role in delivering bulk volumes to ports in Europe that are requesting a simple and flexible solution to import pipeline-ready, gaseous green hydrogen to meet the REPowerEU ambitions for 10 million tonnes by 2030."
