Northstar Gold sampling at Miller property showed high grade copper at historic mine
–News Direct–
Northstar Gold Corp CEO Brian Fowler joined Proactive's Steve Darling to provide an update on the recent surface sampling conducted by the company at the historic Cam copper mine site, located on the Miller property. The Cam Copper Mine is a high-grade copper system situated approximately 2.4 km southwest of the Allied Gold Zone and is easily accessible by road.
Fowler shared that the surface sampling yielded intriguing results, showcasing high-grade copper mineralization in 19 select surface grab samples. The copper grades ranged from 0.99% to an impressive 31.8%. The weighted average grade of these select samples, collected from the historic muck pile and bedrock exposure near the historic shaft, was determined to be 14.0% copper. Notably, one of the samples displaying 31.8% copper also exhibited a silver content of 452 g/t, indicating the potential presence of significant silver mineralization as well.
Fowler expressed that Northstar Gold has obtained full permits to conduct drill testing of the down plunge extension of the Cam Copper massive sulphide zones. Currently, the company is diligently working on formulating a plan to explore the Cam Copper Mine site further, leveraging the promising results obtained from the surface sampling.
With the discovery of high-grade copper mineralization and the potential inclusion of significant silver mineralization, Northstar Gold is poised to unlock the exploration potential of the Cam Copper Mine. The company's focus on further investigation and development in this area demonstrates their commitment to advancing their mining operations and maximizing the value of their assets.
