Forward Water Technologies encourages collaboration in lithium community

–News Direct–

Grant Thornley, VP of Engineering Solutions at Forward Water Technologies, discussed the challenges and opportunities in the lithium market with Proactive.

With the projected growth of electric vehicles, the demand for lithium is expected to increase significantly. However, the current production of lithium is insufficient to meet this future demand. Thornley highlighted the need to increase lithium production from the current 200,000 metric tons to 2.6-3 million metric tons by 2030 to fulfill the market projection, whilst emphasizing the challenge of selecting the right daily media for lithium extraction from brine.

Forward Water Technologies is working with Clean Lithium to assist them in evaluating and selecting the optimal media for their projects. The Company is hosting a webinar on 11th July at 11.00 +0000 to discuss direct lithium extraction processes, and invites those interested in unconventional sources of lithium to attend. The webinar aims to provide engineers and researchers with the tools and knowledge to evaluate and assess these technologies.
