Kingfisher Mining advancing large-scale carbonatite targets
–News Direct–
Kingfisher Mining Ltd (ASX:KFM) CEO James Farrell tells Proactive the company has confirmed the presence of rare earth element (REE) mineralisation at the CH8 target of the Mick Well Project, in WA while also advancing mapping and sampling for a lithium exploration program on the tenure. KFM has confirmed the presence of a large-scale carbonatite intrusion (a type of geology prospective for REEs) at both the CH8 and CH11 targets at Mick Well with geological mapping and sampling.
Our focus on advancing our large-scale carbonatite targets is bearing fruit, with the confirmation of new carbonatite intrusions at CH8 and CH11, Farrell said in todays announcement.
Significantly, these targets appear to be the surface exposure of deeper intrusion systems and are highly prospective for large-scale intrusive hosted rare earths mineralisation and our ongoing exploration will continue to further define the targets for our next drill program.
Exploration work targeting lithium-bearing pegmatites is also underway across several of our tenements."
