The Dermysk Academy’s new program allows students to progress at their own pace through online training modules, before receiving practical training from their team of specialists. With this individualized attention and training, the Dermysk team ensures that every student is confident, experienced, and capable of performing medical aesthetic procedures before they graduate the program.

While the full range of training has been broken into 6 separate courses, students of the Basic course will be fully certified in up to a dozen popular procedures, including laser hair or tattoo removal, dermaplaning, and radiofrequency rejuvenation. Certification in the Dermysk Basic course will also act as a prerequisite for their Advanced course, which teaches body sculpting, pigmentation treatments, and a variety of stem cell treatments.

Students will also learn about the biology and physics of medical aesthetic treatments, to ensure that they understand how each treatment works, and what makes it effective. The courses will also include guidelines for working with troublesome clients, basic business strategies, and an overview of any important legal and regulatory considerations.

Graduates of the Basic course will be certified to begin working in the medical aesthetics industry immediately, though they will be limited to the procedures covered in their initial training. Students can also register for additional training at any time, with the Dermysk Academy Advanced or Masters course.

The standard training programs from the Dermysk Academy do not include injection treatments, which require special certifications. Licensed physicians and nurses interested in learning about injectable cosmetic treatments, including neuromodulators and fillers, can register for the Dermysk Academy Cosmetic Injection Course.

A spokesperson for the Academy explained, “You will have the opportunity to practice with real material on real clients with real problems, giving you valuable hands-on experience. And before graduation, you will also receive individualized business advice and support to help set you up for success in your new career.”
