Non-Profit Addresses Mental Health Using Unique Fitness Approach

United States – Body & Soul(R) Fitness’ is working to quell the growing rate of mental health issues using a holistic approach to fitness. According to Men’s Health, “the mind and soul will be integral to fitness in 2023”, says David Jack, Men’s Health fitness advisor.

Amy Stafford, the fitness organization’s President, noted that there has been a rise in the number of Americans suffering from mental health issues following the Covid-19 pandemic. She noted that the United Health Foundation’s American Health Ranking placed some states in the United States on a high-risk pedestal, with at least 36% of the residents experiencing mental health issues for two weeks or more within a 30-day period. Stafford also added that the not-for-profit organization is concerned about holistic health and is using its fitness programs to touch lives and improve human connection.
