Halifax Medical Aesthetician School, Aesthetic Technician Training Announced

Building on knowledge gained through the recent growth of online schooling, the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy has updated its course structure to help students complete their certification, with no more than one or two weeks required in-person, at the Academy.

More information about medical aesthetics certification, the available courses, and registration details can be found at https://dermysk.com/pages/academy

The new courses, available in Basic, Advanced, and Master-level, allow students to complete most of the knowledge portion of their training online, at their own convenience, so that their time spent at the Dermysk Academy can focus on practical training. During this hands-on training portion, students will work with medical aesthetic tools and clients to gain real-world experience in popular techniques, such as laser hair removal.

At the end of the practical training portion, graduates will be fully certified in and experienced at completing up to a dozen popular procedures. In the Basic course, these may include dermaplaning, microblading, acne treatments, fractional ablation, and radiofrequency rejuvenation. Students of the Advanced and Master-level courses will learn more complex techniques, such as Cool Sculpting and Vampire Lifts.

Students of the Basic course will begin by learning about the medical aesthetic industry, how to deal with clients, and guidelines for proper safety and hygiene. The program also includes details about successfully operating a business, the legal and regulatory concerns, and several business strategies that have proven effective in the industry.

After completion of the Basic program, students will be fully ready to enter the workforce in a medical aesthetic clinic, or they can choose to return for the Advanced course at any time. While the Advanced course requires graduation from the Basic course to attend, it is also open to any individual with at least 5 years of industry experience.

As an alternative to Basic and then Advanced training, students can also complete the entire course at once, using Master-level training. This program includes all the skills found in the Academy’s other courses, as well as exclusive content they do not teach elsewhere. While this program is longer and more intensive, it covers a wider range of content and takes students from beginner to master in a single course. It also includes a Master of Medical Aesthetics certificate for graduates.
